Movies...

Where Eagles Dare:  If you are, at all, into WWII Action Adventure, this is the Classic for you.  And if you aren't, pay attention.  A Richard Burton at his peak and a young Clint Eastwood help make this movie worth the rental.

Velvet Goldmine:  Take a walk on the Wilde Side.  Cast includes Ewan McGregor, Johnathan Rhys-Meyers and Christian Bale before they were superstars.  As if that's not enough, wait for the scriptline, "Curt Wild...".

The Ice Storm:  "Seems like I grew up in this neighborhood..."; being "of" the 70's, the scenario was so familiar to me.  One of Ang Lee's best films (he hasn't had many), the characterizations by the many stars are wonderful.

The Grifters:  Anjelica Huston (gee, I could stop writing and be happy with the film), John Cusack and Annette Bening keep the plotline tightly wound.  Slick.

The Krays:  Not just another Gangster
Movie. Ron and Reg were Crime Lord
Brothers in the East End of London
during the 60's.  This dramatization
is great; especially for fans of
"The Eastender's", like me.

Other Movies of Note:  Network, Legend, Party Monster, The Song Remains The Same, PCU, Observe and Report, The Answer Man,

Actors of Note:
Dirk Bogarde
Margaret Rutherford
Edward Woodward
Jeremy Brett
Basil Rathbone
Kevin Spacey

NetflixThis is much easier than running down
to the local rental and they've selection galore.
We upgraded to play movies on the tele, so
                 far, "it's a good thing".
